Town of Black Earth Structure Fire

At 12:55 pm, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to assist firefighters at a structure fire at 4927 Eissefeldt Road in the town of Black Earth.

An office building on the property is considered a total loss, however the main residence and barn on the property were unaffected. The cause of the fire has not been determined, but the Madison Area Fire Investigation Team (MAFIT) was requested to conduct the investigation. There were no injuries reported.

The building and its contents are estimated to be worth between $500,000 and $750,000.
