Final opportunity for public testimony on November 2
The Dane County Board of Supervisors will be holding the final public hearing on the 2024 county budget on Thursday, November 2 at 6:00pm. The hearing is taking place following the final work of the Personnel and Finance Committee meeting earlier in the week and before the County Board begins budget deliberations, which will begin on Monday, November 6.
The 2024 proposed budget was released by County Executive Parisi on October 2. Standing committees of the County Board have been reviewing the budget and putting forward amendments at committee meetings since the budget was released.
“It is important that we continue to hear what budget priorities are most important to members of the community. It was great to hear from the people that were able to come to the hearing, as well as those that have attended meetings and submitted written comments. I encourage members of the public to continue to do so in the coming days as we continue work on the budget,” said County Board Chair Patrick Miles.
Members of the public that are interested in attending the November 2 public hearing either in person or virtually can find information to register on the top of the agenda for the meeting which will be posted to the County’s Legislative Information Center by this Friday.
Written testimony can also be sent to the full County Board by emailing: county_board_recipients@countyofdane.com.
